Today, new Dawgma members experienced their first late 8’clock Dawgma build day, while Dawgma veterans eagerly invited the experience back into their lives. Dawgma members reviewed rules and point allocations for the game, Stronghold, in order to determine basic strategies for their soon-to-become robot. Members argued tirelessly for different strategies and advantages and disadvantages of different game focus areas. By 6:30, members were exhausted, so it was time for the first team dinner (or as lovingly nicknamed by veteran member Miriam G.-“Family dinner”) of the season. Thanks to Dawgma’s new sponsors, Toni Roni’s, Dawgma members were able to munch down on delicious pizza while charging their brains for the last few hours of strategy discussion. By the end of a day, Dawgma members not only finished their Need, Want, Wish list, but set out a plan to finalize robot designs by the start of the second week of build season.
